EXPECTATIONS, CONTINUATION, AND DISMISSAL
Academic Expectations
This standard of progress is defined as the successful completion and earned credit of both High School and College courses.
Mandates for Program Continuation
- Successful completion of college courses
- Successful completion of high school courses
- A student is placed on a probationary semester if they receive a D in high school and/or college courses or receive an INC (Incomplete) in their college courses. Academic probation semester expectations include:
- Student is required to conference weekly with the Early College Program Coordinator and /or grade level counselor.
- Student is required to conference with principal every two weeks.
- Parents are contacted every two weeks with an update on all grade progress.
- Tutor sessions either before/after/during school are mandatory for any grade falling into D range.
- Student must complete anecdotal record for each assignment for respective class.
- Student must utilize Terra State Community College’s student services (Writing Lab and/or tutoring program)
- Student must demonstrate ownership in learning and commitment to academic future by documenting contacts with professor/teacher(s).
- A student who receives a grade other than an A, B, C, D, or INC or fails to successfully complete academic probation expectations will be dismissed from the program.
Attendance Expectations
Attendance Expectations
In order to success in the Early College Program, students need to be in class on time. This will allow the students to hear lectures, participate in class discussions, gain hands on experience, and ask questions. Personal illness of the student may not exceed five days in a semester without a doctor excusing any additional absences.
Mandates for Program Continuation
- Daily attendance required and monitored
- A student is placed on a probationary semester if they are absent or tardy from school 5 or more days per semester. Attendance probation semester expectations include:
- Five days tardy or absent from school will require attendance at before or after school tutoring sessions.
- Eight days tardy or absent in a semester, will require an immediate conference with parent, administrator, counselor, and coordinator. Weekly monitoring meetings will be scheduled with Early College Program Coordinator and /or grade level counselor.
- Student must demonstrate ownership in learning and commitment to academic future by documenting contact with professor/teacher(s).
- A student who fails to successfully complete attendance probation expectations will be dismissed from the program.

Students are responsible for knowing and adhering to all Fremont City Schools and Terra State Community College Code of Conduct policies.
Mandates for Program Continuation
No violations to the Fremont City Schools and Terra State Community College Code of Conduct policies.
Conduct Program Probation
Student Conduct Expectations
Students are responsible for knowing and adhering to all Fremont City Schools and Terra State Community College Code of Conduct policies.

Conduct Program Probation
- A student is placed on a probationary semester if they receive a discipline referral for any violation of the Ross High School or Terra State Community College student code of conduct. Conduct probation semester expectations include:
- An issued referral from either Ross High School or Terra State Community College will require an immediate conference with parent, administrator, counselor, and coordinator. Weekly monitoring meetings will be scheduled with grade level counselor.
- Student must demonstrate ownership in learning and commitment to academic future by documenting contact with professor/teacher(s).
- A student who receives an Out of School Suspension (OSS) or fails to successfully complete conduct probation expectations will be dismissed from the program.
